when you listen to say some kind of sound all your life it becomes the norm for you. As in, the sound becomes the "silent" or norm for you, it could be that God was talking to us from the beginning of time so much so that it became normalized and we no longer "hear it". Maybe we should listen more. Just saying.

Wait wait wait! Guys you got sidetracked. Food is not the issue here. It's about where LR gets his knowledge of what god wants him to do and it turns out that he reads in newspapers to see what "scientists say" and then if they say "don't eat this" or "don't have sex with that" he doesn't so that god doesn't send a new disease or earthquake or some other punishment.
