Some, not many. Maybe you could post some...

Not without getting permission but while searching for an interview with a professor whose name escapes me for now (I'm not good with names), I stumbled across this which sheds some light on the issue...

Have you read any studies on crime victims? Poor people are more likely to be victims than rich people. Not sure why income inequality would cause poor people to prey on each other.
...

Soft targets, perhaps.

Consumption creates demand.  Demand creates supply.  Some clever people create/expand businesses to organise supply and create jobs and might get rich in the process.  Consumption is the key.

Spread the profits and more people can consume.  If the consumers are skint it all grinds to a halt.  This is why some countries are considering Guaranteed Minimum Income strategies.

Those clever people work really hard to create those jobs, and they're not going to do so if they don't stand to make a good buck from it.
...

Indeed.  But they're not working hard to create jobs.  More jobs is a by-product.  Automation is a more cost-effective way of doing it.  And automatons can't spend money.

Then what?

Then we cut as well, and make it up on the individual side. The rest of the world can only go so low.

Everyone can go to zero.  Or in some cases, less than zero... see the bidding wars between US states to get Amazon etc. to set up shop.

So you are advocating raising taxes on individuals.

Have you shared your plan with Paul Ryan?

Abstracts are free, and I don't watch videos.

Yes, and?

If we get to the point that that's significant, I'd support a universal basic income.

Yes, look at them - they all offer temporary incentives, because they do want tax revenue. Zero isn't a realistic number, or someone would already be there. It's not like it's just the US v. every other country as a whole.

I'll interpret that as you wanting to end the conversation. Pity. I think you would have enjoyed it.

I'm sure you can find some abstracts if you are sufficiently interested.

Sad

Or you could just accept it for what it is - a request that you provide links to studies you mention, or at least to related articles in the mass media.

I don't see posting videos as having a conversation. Do you?

Maybe. If you can't put things in your own words and support claims you make, I certainly won't enjoy it.

This is the standard lefty/atheist MO lately - make claims, then when asked for support say go google it yourself or some such. No, that's not good conversation.

Correct, I'm not interested in watching videos. If I were, I'd be at youtube, not at a discussion forum.

I don't. You can find my critiques on almost all of his vids. His thinking is often accurate but rarely complete.

Just saying that their are people who do just that
