Problem with religious people, when they're talking about homosexuals, is that they don't know any homosexuals personally.

To varying degrees of closeness, from family to work associates, I can think of 15 off the top of my head.

I think the real question is not whether it occurs in nature. Lots of strange adaptive behaviors, like female spiders eating their suitors, occur in nature. But what is natural for spiders is not natural for human beings. The real question is not whether it natural, as in common place; but rather, natural, as in normative for human beings, to harbor certain desires and engage in specific behaviors.

(not to mention, well I guess I am, that according to Christian doctrine, we live in a fallen creation and as such animal behavior has also been corrupted by sin.)

He literally said, that homosexuality is not a crime; neither is it the person's fault. But -and I'm quoting Freud literally- it is a "production" of a "certain arrest of sexual development".

Homosexuality is a production of certain arrests of sexual development, and many people went through it.
Maybe Freud doesn't acknowledge the society's role in that arrest; and that's his opinion. But I acknowledge that the arrest is unnatural and actually caused by society.

That's all. Homosexuality is not natural.
It's a product of an "arrest" of sexual development.

Personally; I see that arrest -which I personally see as compulsive and forced- to be a crime.

All of that aside, any variation in sexual development is, without question, natural. Sexual development is natural. Our reactions to it are natural. Even the horrible things that can happen to people to fuck up their sexual development are "natural," even if they're abhorrent. Therefore, you should just pick up your balls and say what you want to say. You hate homosexuality. It's most assuredly not unnatural, so you'll just have to face your true opinion one of these days.

Ah the i can't hate gays or have bias against them because i have gay friends pitch.By the same logic "how can I be a sexist  I love my mother.". It's a dumb excuse to wiggly out of responsibility for  prejudice .

Fine, so we agree that it's natural then.  

I get "process".  I'm a process consultant.  

When my sexuality is in a state of arrest I become a monk.

But it usually just means that I'm short of cash.

Death.
Death is very natural. But I don't think so many want to die; and those who want to die have reasons, ranging from depression to wrong understanding of life.

But death is a process. Just like feeding. Just like sex.
It's a process with stages.

Death makes flesh rot. Mummify the body; and you cheat rotting.
Feeding makes you overweight. Avoid fatty food, and you cheat getting overweight.
Sex makes you produce certain hormones. Avoid a certain gender sexually, and you'll avoid the hormones being produced when certain genders are present.

That's why the process of sexual arrest, requires a long, long time. And need to happen from a very young age.
That's my opinion; at least.

I'm straight. Homosexuality is a mere product of sexual arrest. I add cultural and false religious repression to the mixture.
Sexuality is a state of mind, it never was a static thing.
