Don't knock it till you try it; Rick and Morty's absolutely brilliant. I don't know about CTN cos I saw it on Netflix but BTTF is Back To The Future and it is indeed like that; Rick is like the character of the Doc and Morty is like the character of Marty. It's definitely worth a watch ![Smile Smile](https://atheistforums.org/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thank you for spelling those out for me. I should have realised that BTTF was Back to the Future (not seen it though).
And thanks for the recommendation. Small sang is that I don't have a TV. I'll wait for the book.

For those wondering, CTN is supposed to be Cartoon Network, however the network itself uses just CN as its shortened identifier. Leave it to our resident Google scholar to fuck up the established abbreviation of a television network that’s been in existence for nearly 26 years.

Cool. Yeah, I've heard of that, just never seen it and didn't know it had Rik Mayall. Definitely got to watch it now if it had him in it I do like political satire; Yes [Prime] Minister, Rory Bremner and/or Bird and Fortune, and The Thick Of It; but I dread to think what Rik Mayall's take on it will be I take it he's the B'Stard? ![Wink Wink](https://atheistforums.org/images/smilies/wink.gif)
That's the Rt. Hon. B'Stard to you, prole.
Yeah, I've watched the first couple of episodes now so I see what you mean... and that I'd been pronouncing his name wrong ![Wink Wink](https://atheistforums.org/images/smilies/wink.gif) I like it... there's definitely a bit of Richie in him but not too much so it's cool seeing him in a very different light. And a lot of other people I recognise as well... one of his aides is, I think, Sir Arnold from Yes Prime Minister... albeit much less condescending and smug... and the other... the camp guy... I think was in The Detectives as the Duke of somewhere. So it's cool seeing both of those in a different light as well. So yeah, I'm looking forward to watching all of this... it's certainly... different

I think you're referring to Michael Troughton, alongside his brother David both sons of the late great Patrick Troughton - the second Doctor himself.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Yep, I've just checked IMDB... you're right. I hope I haven't stepped on any toes with that 'camp' comment... something tells me, though I can't put my finger on it, that you might be a Doctor Who fanboi ![Wink Wink](https://atheistforums.org/images/smilies/wink.gif) and therefore that what I said was sacrilegious ![Wink Wink](https://atheistforums.org/images/smilies/wink.gif) But he is really camp in The New Stateman, but less so in the Flasher episode of The Detectives.

He's an actor. I'm sure he can turn his hand to anything.

And when you're finished that, go watch The Young Ones.

Thanks for the suggestion but I've seen The Young Ones and didn't really like it. I know it's the forerunner to Bottom, and I can see elements of it in it, but it just never really appealed to me. IIRC... unless I'm thinking of something else... it has a lot of live music in it? I've just never been one for 'variety' programmes... it really puts me off when programmes do that... I think 'just do one thing, and do it well'... especially when in this case (or whatever case I'm thinking of, if not it) it was done like that just to get more funding from the BBC

And surely his personal favorite station as well.
