Even Serena Williams was beaten by a man ranked 203rd best male player in the world

We already answered the question with athletes who look and feel female, have enlarged breasts , vaginas,  and clitorises,  but also y chromosomes and consequently no uteruses or eggs.  No sperm or penises either come to that.  Most of them found out they were xy after sports testing not before.  Yet they were not allowed to compete as women. Why? Because the rule was genetic.  But gonads and breasts aside these women had the height and musculature of men so the rule does not seem horribly unfair provided they are allowed to compete as men.

Like weight in boxing and wrestling sex is a good proxy to divide people into competitive categories. We use some others such as age.  Junior and senior leagues are still a thing.  So are handicapped leagues. I'd like to see a short league of basket  ball.

So, let the transgender play, and use whatever pro noun or bathroom they prefer, but let physiology determine league in which they play.

Like the problem of all those biological women having to compete and lose against a biological male in a women's competition?

That was actually addressed to Faith but I agree that there are two sides affected by the situation. Straightforward cases of women born unambiguously biologically female have a stake and an issue here. But so do the less straightforward cases of humans born with indeterminate gender for example. They too have a stake and an issue here. It wasn't my intention to ignore either group.

If only your side of the debate had some definitive scientific basis for your assertions . Aside saying it's "common sense" Because it sure as hell isn't to the researchers studying it . I guess they're all just dumb or SJW who want to be non PC (sarcasm )

But there are XX-chromosome-women who are too strong for other women to compete against. Should we also have them feel insulted and compete as men?

It seems the woman under discussion isn't so powerful that she can compete against men with ease; she's just simply a very strong woman. Plus, it's volleyball, a team sport. It's not enough to have one strong player to dominate the sport. And who knows how accurate the article is anyway?

Quote:We use some others such as age.

Despite the various unfair advantages that may manifest in various age groups due to height and such. I mean, some kids are just too tall (or too physically strong or agile) compared to peers of the same age group.

Ah, check this article:

https://www.si.com/more-sports/2017/12/2...reu-brazil

Quote:Abreu played in men’s leagues in Brazil, Portugal, France, Indonesia, Spain, France, Holland and Belgium. In 2012, the volleyball player decided to stop her career and become a woman.

In Italy, She went through hormonal treatment to control the levels of testosterone in her blood stream, had sex reassignment surgery and changed all her previous identification to her new name.

Soon after, she was informed she could play again.

The lengths some people will go through to break records in volleyball!! And not even mens or international volleball!! Local league and female league. Wonder if it was worth it?

In my opinion Chad32 had is spot on, tier the sport and allow both genders to play and reach the top based on ability. But then again that won't work for sports like rugby or american football (basically any physical contact sport). Humanity isn't quite liberal and brain damaged enough for females and males to compete together at that level. Not quite ready for that much equality yet. Gotta achieve that equality in moderation. Baby steps.

I generally agree with the writer of the article in the sense that it isn't fair forcing real women athletes to compete against men pretending to be women.

Looks like you've picked up on this just to bash trans people. I don't give a fuck if you think it's fair or not for this to be happening in sports. You are making out that there is some kind of benefit for this person, if there is then good, it might make her feel like a valid worthwhile individual.

Let's face it Neo, It isn't easy for any trans person to go about their lives without interference from small minded bigots like yourself, they have enough internal turmoil to last a lifetime without the likes of you adding to it. So stop 'pretending' to be a man, and be one.

The author of that article is a bigoted asshole too. So are the commenters there as well. Nasty bigoted fucks.
