LOL, nah. That begs a question..however, and it's central to my comment, what we "consider to be" athletic is a meaningful arbitrarity in this context. Males are better sprinters, females are better distance runners (we're calling all other things equal here even though, in reality, they never are).
Which gender is inherently more "athletic"...........on those grounds?

You're going to have to link to that post and explain how I "used it in the wrong way," please.
You seemed confused earlier about my usage of the word contingent, so I wasn't sure.

Perhaps you should take another look. It's not even a mystery as to why that is. In any case, rather than answer the question, we proceed to arrange an assumption in which males are axiomatically "more athletic" than females? Will it be surprising when we conclude on the basis of that axiom that the axiom is true? Not at all. This goes to show that we're working with pet definitions..and good luck with that. Meanwhile, IRL, there is nothing -at all- more "athletic" about penis possessors than vag possessors, period. Just a list of games that some men may be better than some women at, and vv.
I have a strong suspicion that...were I to reference some stereotypically "female" thing, you would have no trouble conceeeding that women are better at it than men, despite any discrepancy I could unearth and maintain to the contrary. The whole thing is deliciously random.

You seem to be the only one talking theoretically here, meanwhile in actual real life, males continue to be more athletic than female.

@SA
If you say so.
@Shell
Isn't it amusing that in many sports "subs" are a thing? We let a guy sprint -part- of a marathon and then hand the baton to a fresh, rested person. We sub out tired linemen in pro ball. If they were made to stay in from start to finish...there is strong reason to assume that, like all endurance sports, the metrics would begin to tilt female in direct proportionality to the time of exertion and prolonged experience of pain.
We may be better at different things..but this is precisely what makes any blanket declaration of gender "athleticism" meaningless. Very few sports, even, are just the ditsillation of a single quality, and even when they are (I used power lifting earlier) female competitors crush the majority of men regardless.

I find it funny how women spend the whole time complaining about being referred to as inferior; yet when something important like tapping a ball over a net comes along, they're saying how shit they are!
Women are indeed shit, and it's great that we finally have a thread where they have to agree with me. Pick your battles, young Jedi.
Sports are amazingly unfair, since I couldn't even compete against women, let alone men. I should be allowed to be on a motorbike for the 100m.

There's Pamela Reed and Danica Patrick, Pamela Reed won a badwater marathon and Danica Patrick has beat men at motorsports. I think they have both been on the Joe Rogan podcast because they look familiar.
I don't know if Danica Patrick's record means that women are better at endurance running though. There's other marathon records set by men from Kenya or Ethiopia.
According to google
Quote:In the marathon running world, the ratio of male participants to female participants is about 60 percent men to 40 percent women. In the running world, the average male time of four hours and 29 minutes remains faster than the average female time of four hours and 59 minutes.
I found this article about women being "better" at men than running, which still says men are faster at endurance running, but women are better at pacing themselves in a specific part of the race, it seems like a stretch to say women are better when males are still actually performing better.
- All though men are faster marathon runners than women (due to genetics) they are not the smartest. Women are 18,61% better at pacing.
That's pretty much all I can find, men are finishing marathons faster, women maintain a more constant pace during the marathon.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
