This is a picture of me meeting Rene Auberjonois at a Star Trek Convention. He was a lovely guy and he let me have that picture for free... cos I was there helping friends out on a charity stand, rather than going as a fan so to speak. But somehow in a lull I went off for a wander and ended up talking to him... having changed out of my outfit because I felt a bit self-conscious - not to mention that that thing is incredibly uncomfortable Wink - anyway Rene suggested I put it on again for this picture and the rest is history. It's not my costume but my friend's who's got a lot of them and makes fan-films of Star Trek, as well as doing these charity stands with other Trekkie friends Wink So whenever I go, he just lends me his costume, and sometimes more than others I'm more comfortable wearing it Wink

The most amazing thing about Rene Auberjonois? He's a frikking Bonaparte (on his mother's side he's descended from Napoleon's youngest sister)!

Wow! I think I did ask him where he was from but I can't remember his answer... I don't think he was French though... I just get this inkling he said Swiss but I may be wrong.

I remember hearing him say that in an interview.

Fandom Level: I only got a model of the Enterprise... casual?

Best Series/Movie: I grew up on TNG, so I'll go there.

Favorite Captain: Again, as someone who grew up on TNG, Picard... yawn!

Favorite Character: Wesley? I was a kid and he seemed like kind of a role model...

What Alien Race Would You Be?: That's a toughie.... Q is like a god... the borg were the most technologically advanced, though... Still got their asses kicked by "rotating the phaser frequency" Tongue The ferengui are fun... Valk, wanna stroke my ears? Wink

Being a Q is kind of hell on earth though

Being a Borg mean your mindless and you have a trillions of voices in your head

The ferengi are not well liked . Mainly because they have a reputation as swindlers (mostly earned )

Best Series/Movie:

Series:  TOS or the second through fourth season of TNG; TNG got a little silly after that.  Similar remarks go for DS9; good early on, not so much later.
   Movie:  First Contact

Favorite Captain:
Commodore Matt Decker from the episode "The Doomsday Machine", or Rear Admiral Pressman from the episode "The Pegasus".  I liked Picard as a regular, but those two "captains" were more real flesh and blood characters than either Kirk or Picard.

Favorite Character:
Split between Reginald Barclay from TNG and Garak from DS9.

Most hated character:
Any of the Klingons from TNG, but especially Worf, his son, and the Duras sisters.

What Alien Race Would You Be?:  Either Elasian or a member of the Q continuum.

I forgot about them.  Think I'll let Neelix off my list to make room for them.

Come to think of it, the Ferengi (sp?) were pretty horrible when they first came on the scene.  Incomprehensible that they would ever make it out into space at all.

Along those lines, whatever that stupid species which "looked for things, things that make us go".  Ugh.  Can't waste a place in the triumvirate on a one and done character though.

Actually the Ferengi bought all their technology from others
