So today at the bank................

I really do get tired of biting my tongue. So my mom's financial adviser, now mine. Showed her my vacation pictures at Steve Erwin's zoo. We get to the pictures of the Giraffes, and she says, "Isn't it amazing how God made them so beautiful with their patterns and long necks?"
I wan't to shout, " NO YOU STUPID .......BEEP!"
Yea lady, it is amazing that they have a superfluously long nerve that goes from one ear, all the way down the neck then back up to the other ear. So much for a straight line being the shortest distance between two points. Isn't it great that bacteria and cockroaches outnumber humans and are far faster breeders?
Giraffes are pretty to look at sure, but no damned God had a thing to do with it. I am quite sure if you got too close to a male in the wild during musk it would stomp your ass to death.

If she's "your" financial advisor then she works for you.
A simple "god had nothing to do with it" would have put her in her place.

Um yea, but no. Not about to make waves with someone who can see my finances. I was silent when she said that in any case I think she got the message it was not a road she should go down with me.

Minn, just because I am blunt about religion, and just because I hate the logic behind it, does not mean I want someone to lose their job. My mom was a believer too, on top of being a lifetime teacher. She is full of shit sure, but on the issue of financial advice and taking care of my mom, which she did, that is her job. If I fought everyone who did that at every single turn, I would not be able to function, and would get into needless trouble. I pick my battles.
I am not a vengeful person in any case. That lady has family too.

I think RR has a very childish utopia view of herbivores. They are cute so they never attack.

The giraffe was not "designed" anymore than cancer or ecoli or cockroaches, and it's long nerve from ear to ear was mere evolution, not magic, not a sky wizard.
