Pet Photos thread where too much is never enough.
RE: Pet Photos thread where too much is never enough.
Yup. Imma swing by on wednesday and pick em up. Fun drive through the mountains.

(it's a damned shame we'll have to have them fixed - so far, mommy and daddy have had four boys and just one girl....all taken by our family. Their big bros are named Bane and Moose. I'm fishing for suggestions, lol)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Yeah, he's actually checking out dad trying to take a photo of him checking out the 'dillo. He's meta like that.

I lived in TX for several years and didn't see an armadillo that wasn't flattened on the highway.  Then, on a trip back here from the east coast there was one waddling around at the rest stop/welcome area just inside the border from LA.

It's still on the property and will be a regular this summer.  I will continue to transplant hosta to the deer trail in hopes of having any roses at all.

Border your rose patch in bleeding heart, marigold, and sage...with an irregular row of woody perennials- if you can. Managed ground covers (like hosta) and well manicured lawns draw them in.

What kind of roses? Pics - theyre pets too.....

Knock outs.  They have lilac and forsythia nearby.  Really not enough sun to grow them full.   Huge oak, black walnut and hickory all around.  Lost the elms to bugs.  I have sage crowding the herb box, so could move that today.   The hosta are in the back and on the side, pre-existing beds I'm thinning out.  Establishing hydrangea, azalea, and butterfly bushes before rebuilding the beds.  Native grass, weeds and wildflowers in the lawn, no turf.  Wild growth down the hill to the lake.  Thanks for the tips.  I want the deer as part of the experience, but can't find the balance for roses.

...now they just need names....bro-in-law has their older brothers.  They're gonna be gorgeous.

(That's not my kennel, I have a much nicer kennel.  Chain link, double chamber, gravel floor, open air, access to the house.)

Bulger, Ford and Herzog?

Or maybe Betty, Slappy and Shaun?

A family of 'em recently moved into the neighborhood and are busy digging up grubs and generally snuffling along. I hadn't seen any before this last week in, oh, three years?
