I'm not a big fan of permanent or difficult-to-reverse body modifications (don't even have pierced ears), and tattoos don't do a darned thing for me.

For some reason when I find out someone has a tattoo I start to think less of them. Not consciously judging or anything...maybe just disappointed because it seems like such a lack of judgment and respect for one's body. If you like them then enjoy them. Obviously you're not concerned about what anyone else thinks. I just have a different sense of aesthetics and have a visceral reaction. Personally, I don't care too much about what other people think about my appearance either. Then again I don't try make my appearance a stand-out feature. I try to stay well-groomed and dress professionally to match the setting. IMHO people who make the effort to overtly express their individuality by means of their outward appearance shouldn't be too surprised that not everyone shares their opinion about the propriety of such displays. If I still loved the image after a year I got the tattoo. My thigh tattoo covers my hip, into my waist on my hip bone, then back onto my ass a bit, and down my thigh. It's been with me for over 11 years. I was 105lbs when I got it and I went through my pregnancy at 158lbs and I still love it and think it looks good. There was no lack of respect for my body in this decision. If anything I love my body enough to adorn it with pretty things. Oh I don't care if you like my tattoos I was more pinged in that you said I don't respect my body. I feel like what I respect is up to me not you. Also just a side note I too keep myself well groomed and professional while at work. Not one of my tattoos can be seen in my professional dress. I am a supervisor at a bank, I don't think you'd get there by displaying too much 'individuality'.

I love people with tattoos. I think nicely done tattoos on the right places are hot.
So what if people get old and saggy and tattoos won’t look as pretty anymore? People will get old and saggy anyway lol And if you were planning on wearing a two piece to the beach when you’re 85, you won’t look like ken or barbie regardless, so then... what? Tattoos are hot.

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
I thought in tattooing jesus in my ass, just to have a lot of christians kissing it
![]() Nah, not a thing for me, but some are tastefull. I will grab me coat.
Have to admit I've thought about getting a tat several times, but I've always wimped out.

BTW, I'll assume a Prophet Muhammad tattoo is generally and universally considered to be a really bad idea . . .

I've got this spot on my arm that I was considering having tattooed many years ago but I never did and now I regret it. Said no one ever.

Telling atheists what they are thinking and why they do what they do has probably just become a habit. |
