What are the major qualities you like in a person and in what order?

RE: What are the major qualities you like in a person and in what order?
Outside of the usual suspects - intelligence, integrity, compassion, competence, etc. - a lack a drama. I cannot stand people who don’t have their shit together and have surrounded themselves with idiots and assholes. People whose lives are largely one crisis after another largely due to the company they keep or an inability to learn from mistakes and make better choices.

If I'm playing basketball with them, I'd say someone who passes the ball, and gets back on defense.  I wouldn't care if they beat their spouse.
If I'm marrying them, not beating their spouse would be much higher on the list than transition defense.

You might have liked me being on the same team as you when I was younger and in better health. My motto was often something like, "More shots from you, more rebounds for me."

Pure hearted
Level headed
Fun

.
Basically a good heart, a good brain, and a good personality. I think that covers all of it.

Not clingy, doesn't talk your ear off, doesn't talk down to me, doesn't look at me and automatically assume I want to hear their personal problems. If all those boxes are checked, I'll come out of my "shell" if we have something in common.

I get a little squeamish around "bros". I really hate being called "bro" when I'm in a place of besiness and buying something. You're not my friend, you're my ______ (pizza devilvery boy, doctor, bus driver, taxi driver, etc.).

Interesting tread, although I'm a bit rushed this morning. Look forward to coming back to this later on.

OP: Interesting, not completely unexpected. 9 and 10 don't seem like qualities, more like actions.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

To me they're important qualities for a person to have to be someone that isn't going to do my nut in.

Another example is I need someone who when they say I was silly for not remembering something and I apologize like a normal person and say "Sorry it didn't occur to me" they don't say something retarded like "Well it SHOULD have occurred to you!".

I guess perhaps I should just have 9 qualities and make 9: Be someone who doesn't trigger my biggest pet peeves.

Maybe I'm weird but... I like all those qualities apart from the talking down to me part.

Women generally have a natural tendency to be a bit "naggy". Not in a malicious sort of way, but in a nurturing "I want to be sure you are taken care of" sort of way. This comes across to men as talking down sometimes. When really it's just our nurturing female hormones doing their thing.
