Right. No one meant that at the time, and no one believed that... until science showed that the story was a load of crap. Then it got reinterpreted to try and make it fit in with what we now know.

That's just fucking stupid a day is the sun rising and setting in the bible, though now we know it only sets and rises on a particular part of earth at any one time.

This is what happens when in the light of science it shows the bible creation myths ( of which there are at least three in the bible) to be false, Christians try silly ways to make it fit.

Dude it really is just plain silly.
