The characters are better written, the story more compelling, and it has historical context.

Overall, a better book series.

 Didn't read a lot of Asterix, but loved the film with Gerard Depardieu as Asterix.

God was not scared.  They simply gained the knowledge of good and evil which God already had.  They could not be all powerful like He is.

I believe in the Trinity/Godhead.  The "us" in the OT is referring to the reality of the Trinity many did not know or understand at the time.  It was always reality though.

Love God and neighbor are His commandments.  That is what all the other commandments are based on!
