We're not allowed to post to that thread. Not even non-christian theists who would make the conversation more interesting.
That thread is in the debate section. The debate section has been there for years, and anyone can use it (meaning if you wanted to open a debate with only 10 other atheists, you could do that too). The debate section is not the civility section I am proposing, which doesn't exist yet, and unlike the debate section, would be open for everyone.

It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Sounds to me like it might be time to shut it down. AFAIC it was barely a good idea to begin with.
JFC, now Dirch has also jumped with post #26. I didn't join AF to listen to a christian discussion with no chance for input.
If only there were some way to not read that thread. I can't think of how it'd be possible, but if anyone figures it out, you'd be doing a lot of us who didn't join this site to listen to christian discussions a huge favor.

It's a debate among Christian AF members within the Atheists Forums' debate section about Christians participating on Atheist Forums. That seems pretty appropriate to me.

You weren't allowed to post on my debate with Metis either. Presumably you didn't have a problem with that.
While it might be more interesting to have invited non-Christians it would also have been less focused. There was a trade-off.

Not really seeing the issue with that post.
I'm glad other's are seeing the BS she pulls by misquoting people does not fly here. She is so bad about misquoting people by giving out random numbers and assigning her own descriptions to them

I don't think so, I believe he is struggling and the combination of what has happened in his discussions with atheist and now with Christians saying things he doesn't necessarily agree with just became the straw on the camels back. I hope he returns later on when he has had time to refresh, I've had to leave for awhile so that I could organize my thoughts and why I was here. If it's important enough to him he'll be back or at least on another atheist forum. Tiberius I want to thank you for opening up this forum for such discussion I believe in the end it will make a positive contribution to all who desire better relationships here.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

There's been some nasty back and forth from both sides since the Christian Role debate started.
I just want to say that I am grateful that we Christians are given the opportunity to use the debate section here on AF to have a discussion among ourselves - even though we are theists and this is an atheist site. I am glad we were able to do that here, despite not being atheists. And I think the other Christians who are debating with me should feel the same way. In the midst of all this arguing, I don't want to come off as ungrateful or entitled.
Thanks Tibs and Vulcan for agreeing to mod for us, and thanks to AF in general for being a place where we can do that.

And A_Theist deliberately changed the topic.

Eh wot? I wasn't aware I posted somewhere I shouldn't have. Who is Metis? I can't even remember making such a post.

I think some people are confused as to what the debate section is, and are thinking it's the civility section. FYI, the civility section I am proposing would be all inclusive. Anyone would be able to post if they want to, so long as they follow the rules on civility and stay on topic.

Is this a site for atheists or a site about atheism? I always thought the later although I can somewhat understand atheists thinking the former.

It was just a hypothetical. You wouldn't complain about being excluded from a thread in the debate forum, if it were another topic such as the Five Ways.
