This is a beautiful demonstration of how the shield and spear paradox plays out in a social setting.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Hello?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Lots of ideas for utopia have been proposed. For some reason none of them seem to work. Maybe you're aware of one that does.

I doubt that a world without child rape would qualify as utopia by fiat...but it would be a start. What;s the problem? God can;t make the smallest effort in service of the common good?
We do it all the time. "Nah, lets sit back and let this kiddie fucker exercise his free will" said no cop ever. Even the fuckin criminals hate those guys............
I suppose it;s nice that they have god on their side, being isolated from everyone else.

Can God not design a world without tsunamis? Does free will require a deadly planet?

Hows he supposed to punish gay coastal cities without them? Hurricanes? Psh, those just make the queerest parties on earth happen. We're out there buck naked doing a drunken maori war dance at the incoming sky.
Honestly, I think the lord of creation bit off more than he could chew when he breathed life into that lump of clay.

You were misrepresenting me by quoting my answer out of context and then saying in your post that I was saying I'd rather choose solitary confinement than freedom of all kinds both good and bad.
Yes no child rape for everyone ever probably is a better alternative although it's a close one because a lifetime of solitary confinement is very bad indeed as well.
Again, what does this solitary confinement thing ever have to do anything? It has got nothing to do with free will... and yes I do think child rape is worse than solitary confinement but it's not like God has to choose between one or the other.
I already showed very clearly how you misrepresented me but you had already accused me of doing the same and when I asked you to clarify you didn't... because I have only ever claimed that you said the things that you actually said.

Hello?
Hi. I wasn't on AF at the time. I do have to do other things sometimes.

This is completely irrelevant.
Bah. Just to show again how you misrepresented me CL:

That was your reaction to my answering "Yes" to the fact that a lifelong prison scenario for everyone would be better if there was no child rape in the world ever. It has nothing to do with it being "a better option than allowing freedom (and all the good and bad that may come of such freedom)".
Again, what was the actual point in bringing up the solitary confinement thing if after when I answer your question you just react to my answer like that as it I said anything of the sort? Do you think that solitary confinement is worse than child rape?
This is not the issue. God doesn't have to choose between child rape and solitary confinement. We're talking about God intervening to prevent a child rape here... we're not talking about God choosing between allowing child rape on the one hand and putting everyone in solitary confinement on the other hand.

Ham, I'm still not sure I follow/understand your answer. It may be more simple to do it this way:
Option A: Everyone is born into solitary confinement cells where they spend the rest of their lives. As a result, no one ever gets raped or murdered, ever.
Option B: Everyone is born into freedom. As a result, some people will use their freedom to rape or kill others until/unless they are found out and locked up after the fact.
Which option do you choose?

Yeah, I don't think I would want to live in that world.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
