Careful - some naysayers are picking on this as a reason not to use GMO's. I've heard of people having intolerances to one thing or another in the past - I suspect we've also gotten way better at identifying issues as ingredient intolerances rather than other allergies and whatnot. One of my friends went for years before a doctor realized he had a wheat allergy.
GMO food, as far as my limited anthropological-agricultural botany understands it, is just "normal" food (for a given value of 'normal') to wit..the whole bannana issue (a gmo fruit) and wheat (never looked like it does now) so I am relucktant to go down that path of paranoia.
And yes, would certainly lean more towards the greater efficiency of identifying issues with food/ingredient intolerances ...heck we are identifying bloody viruses as they mutate!
