Atlas, what you said is correct, except human versions of Angels are saints or friends of God, not Angels, but the same is not true of the word Devils which can be human or Jinn.

And God chooses from Angels Messengers and from Humans.

And God created the humans and Jinn to worship God.

It as you said, Jinn is the race, and Angel is a rank. And Iblis as an Angel but it was not his rank that made him disobey God but due to being from the Jinn.

It looks like Satan prayed after his sin, to be "Adam's demon". So he became one of the "reprieved".
And his prayer got accepted, that's why he was haunting Adam and Eve.

You can conclude that angel is a rank from the context of the verses, as I have suggested in post #335.


As for the banishing, the verse didn't say that "God kicked Satan out". It said that "God told Satan to get out, and cursed him":

God "ordered Satan" to get out. "Ordered". But Satan disobeyed. and God let him.

Satan literally agreed to let his jealousy and hate for Adam eat him alive. That's why God didn't kick him out of paradise yet; he just "ordered" him to get out. If Satan obeyed God and never sinned; none of this would've happened.
