There is God and when you die and decompose you will meet Him one on one at a judgement. You are right I and everyone else will die and decompose, our spirit/ soul will return to God awaiting a unification with a new and glorious body or a judgement leading to hell, which will you choose.

IMO, anyone who could be happy in heaven while others are suffering in hell does not belong in heaven.  (Also IMO, they don't belong in hell either.)
