Anaphylactic reaction to peanuts and tree nuts. Restaurants that serve peanuts and have shell's on the floor are a no no for me. The dust causes the same reaction. Any planes I fly on cannot serve peanuts as well.

Sorry to hear that. I remember being on a plane and they announced that they weren't serving food because someone on board had a peanut allergy.

Thanks. It sucks because the last flight I was on, the flight attendant made the announcement that they were serving pretzels instead, due to an allergy. They didn't point me out, but someone a row back, went on for what seemed like a few minutes about how they looked forward to airplane peanuts and that this just ruined their whole flight, blah, blah, blah and I finally stood up and said rather loudly,
"I apologize, sir, for ruining your entire flight, but I'd like to think that my DEADLY allergy to peanuts and my necessity to live sort of trumps your insatiable need for a tiny package of nuts on a plane."

I didn't hear another word from him for the entire flight.

Don't remember hearing anyone grumbling on the plane I was on.

Some people are such arseholes. I remember being on a train that was delayed because someone had just committed suicide on the track and a passenger next to me was grumbling about how selfish the guy was for delaying his journey.

Americans can be really ignorant compared to other people from other parts of the civilized world.

This was a flight from Orlando, FL going Baltimore, MD. I grew up in Baltimore. Go 50 miles north into Pennsylvania and you experience a sort of culture shock. The people are definitely nicer across state lines than down in the big city. Couldn't pay me enough money to live down there anymore. People just don't know how to use tact and be considerate of others anymore. So it's not at all surprising that the guy said anything at all.
