U.S. withdrawing from UN Human Rights Council?

RE: U.S. withdrawing from UN Human Rights Council?
Well, they;ve gotta do something with all those kids they snatched before they get old and tough, now don;t they?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

They would vote for him if he made speech declaring the fourth reich while draped in a cloaked of human skin and ordering all Muslims exterminated .Their mindless sheep .
Seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy -- myself.

Odd. So the U.S. has no problem calling out other countries for human rights violations. But when others do it, they can't take it. I am no fan of the UN by all means, but this is silly.

This is not news, though.  We were always sanctimonious shits in that regard.

Its true, the whole business of human rights has been problematic and we;ve not consistently lived up to the rhetoric.  The solution to that problem..though..was to lean in, not to tap out.

IMO.

We were telling the rest of the world what to do while we were doing this.
