Issues such as this arouse a lot of passion but it pays to never cross the line and become an active domestic enemy unless a person is willing to pay the ultimate price.  

I already swore an oath to pay that price, against all enemies..foreign and domestic.  The oath didn;t have an expiration date...and I would consider it my patriotic duty to stand between an american gestapo and the people they wish to inter. Even more basic..I would consider it an act of pure human goodness in the face of banal evil. That I;ve had to see this become a credible future in my lifetime is unacceptable.

At no point.  No problem is ever made worse by having more hands helping to fix it.  I feel like I need to point out here that your entire premise is based on a demonstrable falsehood. That immigration is a problem, that things will get worse the more immigrants we have. We know that;s not the case. Immigrants are labor, immigrants are art, immigrants are innovators, immigrants are taxpayers, immigrants are soldiers. Immigrants believe in the premise of the american dream more firmly than you do. They are the very essence of what we take to be good citizens, even in the face of citizens who, frankly..don';t have much goodness in them.

I;ve got 1600 sq feet of unoccupied basement and alot of guns.  The kind of guns ICE would have to call for backup on.  The kind of guns an immigrant father could defend his children with at great cost to the enemy...and I;ve already had the anne frank convo with my wife.  We have neighbors and employees who we wont just abandon at the first sight of the trumpen ss...because brown people in my house is a normal tuesday, not the brunt of a racist joke.

Well the opposite is true isn't it. When something good happens it's nothing to do with Trump, when something bad happens it's all his fault. Projection is a funny thing.

I think it might.  My opinion is first and foremost poor black folks need money.  I'm hoping switching to "America First" vs. Globalism gives some better opportunities for people in the US.  

"Well, then instead of tax cuts for the super rich..."  I don't disagree with this.  Rich people love giving other rich people money.  And everyone in our government is rich.  Rich people weren't hurting under Obama.  Wallstreet didn't have a problem with Hillary.  I'd liked to have seen what Bernie would've done.  

But with Trump, he's at least not in lockstep with the machine.  Congress is still bought, but there's at least some push for variation.  

We'll see how it looks in 2020.  But I think the economy is the best bet for civil rights at this point.

I am so sick of the narrative that if you question big business practices you are automatically a Soviet communist. Trump is a wrecking ball not "shaking things up" but breaking things down to make it EASIER for corporations to bully workers. 

You CAN be for the private sector without being for abuse. The only thing Trump did was empower bigots. He had a long history of fucking contractors and investors over long before he ran. 

You cant sit there and say the economy is the best bet for civil rights then say "at least he", bullshit! 

How is someone supposed to get economically stable when the president is calling you rapists, calling for bans on an entire religion, and vilifying black NFL players because they are in a position to point out a real problem in the communities they come from?

Yeah, well, the Mexican Army patrols the border with Guatemala and manages to just repel the majority of the transients on their way to the US. Hypocrisy writ large.
