Yeah, I read somewhere that they streamlined it down to harden it against DDoS attacks.

When I read the article about the "insurance" package it specifically stated that no redactions of names was inclusive and indicated that steps were taken before the previous download to take out names and other ID information of people who could get hurt or dead by the disclosures. Which only makes sense, if you expose regular folks doing their jobs no one is going to support you.

Breaking down a democratic process between hostile groups costs lives too, that could potentially happen.

Right now I'm for the leaks as I think it's important with so much going on with the economy and the depressed jobs market and the over all sense many have of being out of control of their lives, I think psychologically it's good for people to see that there are those who are fighting back. It gives people a sense that there are ways to be heard and there are means to make the captains and the kings uneasy. If it will be worth it in the end? I don't know. Speaking in the now, I think people need to feel that power has vulnerability.
