The story of the garden, and anti-immigration opinions

The story of the garden, and anti-immigration opinions
There is a story in the Quran that reminds me a lot with the situation of standing against the immigration of people lesser in economical status, people who want to live outside.

The story is told by God, and it goes:

Quote:https://quran.com/68/17-27?translations=20
Sura 68, The Quran:
Sahih International

(17) Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning

(18) Without making exception.

(19) So there came upon the garden an affliction from your Lord while they were asleep.

(20) And it became as though reaped.

(21) And they called one another at morning,

(22) [Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit."

(23) So they set out, while lowering their voices,

(24) [Saying], "There will surely not enter it today upon you [any] poor person."

(25) And they went early in determination, [assuming themselves] able.

(25) But when they saw it, they said, "Indeed, we are lost;

(26) Rather, we have been deprived."

(27) The most moderate of them said, "Did I not say to you, 'Why do you not exalt [ Allah ]?' "

(28) They said, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."

(29) Then they approached one another, blaming each other.

(30) They said, "O woe to us; indeed we were transgressors.

(31) Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous."

(32) Such is the punishment [of this world]. And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

The story tells the tale of 3 people who owned a garden. They didn't want to share the fruits of their garden with the poor, wanting to close "the borders" of their garden in the face of poor people. But a disaster hit their garden, ruined it in their sleep.

I want to ask a question now: for the "anti-immigration bunch"; doesn't this story make you scared?
What if your "garden" burned for any reason? didn't we see similar scenarios with Rome, for example?

The beginning of the fall was always an attempt from the "locals" to prevent the poor from going into the garden. and eventually the garden is destroyed altogether, and the survivors would cry and say "O woe to us, we were transgressors !"

"New Romans" said so, but Trump is now playing the same disgusting role of the "garden's owners" in the story above.

Don't seal your garden. share its fruit.
Learn from history.

And thanks to everybody who saw through it, and knew the right thing to do.

Oh the fucking irony of those crying about those wanting to come here and live.

The thing is, when people living in the US are complaining about immigrants coming here, unless they are 100% Native American Indian, then they have no right to bitch. Where do the whiners think their ancestors came from originally? This land that we live on, in this part of the world, was already settled by other people long before any white guy on a boat showed up. What the "white man" did to the indigenous peoples here was disgraceful. Not a single one of us has any right to tell others to stay out when all one has to do is look at the history of this country and the horrific way it was settled.

Goes back to my point with the memes in the other thread.

BTW: I am only the second generation of my family born in the United States. My grandparents were born in Italy and Poland and came over on a boat. They came over in 1913. Before that - my family history belongs in two other countries. I fully support anyone who comes here - no matter what their reason. I'm so over hearing white people complain about brown people stealing their jobs and mooching off the government. What an utter load of bullshit. They are willing to do the seasonal farm work that most white people would turn their nose up to. They are willing to do the "grunge" work that some entitled, white, snobby and arrogant assholes feel that they are too good to do. Many of them simply want what our ancestors received: A chance for a better life for their families. So anyone who doesn't think that people coming from other countries south of us, deserve to be here, can rightly fuck off.
Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.

Thank you very much for your noble attitude, Joods, I'm truly grateful.
Yes the ironic part is that Americans themselves are immigrants who ran away from the wars and poverty in their original countries, without mercy and compassion they would've stayed in their place and suffered; even died. So it's a noble thing to remember one's history in situations like this.

And hey, didn't know you have Italian and Polish roots :Smile wonderful people.
Look, America is the immigrants that made it what it is.

The name "natives Americans" is very ironic when they describe themselves with.
