I don't get these people who are like: "look at how manly I am, I shot X animal". Next time don't be a pussy and use your bare hands.
Indeed it's not manly or tough

I mean i grew up hunting but we never called that a sport . That was putting dinner on the table because we lived in the arctic not like we could grow corn.
That is entirely the difference, hunting for survival as opposed to the egotism of hunting for "sport".  I guess her god gave her the go-ahead.

Men with tiny dicks buy big guns to overcompensate.  Then they have to shoot something.

That's not how it works here, at least not for non-farmed/ranched animals and usually not even then.

Whitetail are similar here. There are limits on the age of buck (number of points on antlers) and for doe licenses are more limited and sometimes the season is shorter.

I was curious, so I looked it up. Black giraffe may be rare, but they are not a species of giraffe, but old giraffe. If they where estimating an age of 18 for this one, then it likely only had a few years left. Most of the stories are on the outrage for this, and most stories that pop up when searching for black giraffe, seem to be about this. I did also find attached to this story, that this hunting provided 2000 lbs of meat to local people, and orphanages.

I'm appreciative of the impartial manner in which you are able to handle various discussions and issues on these boards.  One aspect of this story that I'm still not clear on are the hunter's personal motives: did the hunter hunt for the sake of killing, or did the hunter obey protocols and rules and/or hunted so that the completed hunt could somehow benefit the community near the area?

I haven't seen anything that would indicate that it was poaching or illegal. I also don't know what or if any restrictions are place on hunting giraffe in that area.  I would agree, that this would be another matter if she acted unlawfully.  I do think that it is good, that she gave the meat to the local people to help them.  You read some stories, where people kill the giraffe, and just take the tail leaving the carcass behind.  This also makes me question if they are doing so illegally (although I suppose that they could claim they where feeding the local wildlife).   I don't think that her individual motives matter, although I think that it can be unhealthy if one has an attitude of killing or causing suffering indiscriminately.

Indeed that would be awesome .Lets see how tough these bastards are without their guns spears or bows .
I'd like to see you try and take a Lion with a spear.

Yes, but the giraffe killer is a woman; for what is she compensating?
