President knew about tower meeting.

You said, “Mueller will nab the fucker.” Sadly, I have no confidence that will actually come to fruition. Trump has done an adequate job of politicizing the Russia investigation and calling Mueller’s objectivity into question (at least to his base). I can’t imagine a scenario where congress would flip on this fucker. It’s just not going to happen. Republicans have been talking out of both sides of their mouths since the beginning of his presidency. We’re stuck with him until his term is over. The best we can hope for is that he doesn’t get re-elected in 2020. If that happens...well...Canada is starting to look pretty good.

If you value global stability and western open societies that value checks on power, you SHOULD take hims seriously. His own DNI official just the other day said the alarms are sounding, meanwhile 45 ignores HIM and continues to vilify even Rosenstein and Mueller. 45 STINKS of corruption. I would warn everyone not to wait until it is too late. RE: President knew about tower meeting.

What I do not like is the loophole that one office has that no other office does. John Edwards was not a president and was subject to arrest. If we are to be a nation of laws why should it matter if we are talking about a dog catcher, state legislator, mayor or president, of either party? I guess the GOP is still stuck on the fact that Nixon was caught dead to rights. I do not give a shit how we do it. But to imply Mueller or Rosenstein cant or wont complete their task is absurd. If you are claiming we wont get criminal charges on 45 or that we cant flip the house so we can impeach him, my point is don't count those out. We can still make him a 1 term president regardless. I think if they can prove he knew about the tower meeting, it would show collusion with Russia, it would also make a strong case for obstruction. They probably wouldn't be able to arrest Trump but impeachment would be likely. Trump Jr. could be in some legal hot water because I think he already testified that his dad didnt know about the meeting. To me it seems crazy that Don Jr. would hold a meeting at Trump Tower with Russia, about Hilary Clinton, During his fathers campaign and Trump had no knowledge that it was going on.

Polls show that by an overwhelming majority, Republicans look to, and believe, the word of Trump over that of the media. If the Republicans in congress are representative of the greater majority of Republicans, it may very well be that in spite of evidence and media reports, they simply chalk it up to "fake news" and a conspiratorial witch hunt, and turn a deaf ear to anything Mueller uncovers.
