I do listen to three of their podcasts, including their political one, and I'd say they are 100% left wing.

Not that that means anything. Vice news leans left too, but that doesn't mean they can't report the news accurately.

I don't listen to podcasts. I read the news, so we're probably getting different experiences.

Yeah, I think I'm going to spend a few days listening or reading npr. I mean I probably haphazardly read it from time to time cause I read a lot of news.

I like the npr politics podcast. It's good, but it is 4 liberals agreeing with one another. That's why I don't necessarily think that bias is the be all end all of whether or not something is good news.

Id much rather listen to news with a conservative bias than unbiased bullshit that's half about celebrities and what is trending on Twitter.

That's why I like Vice. They embedded with ISIS. That's amazing. I want to see what ISIS has to say, not just what CNN has to say about them.

That sums up how I feel about news.

PBS Newshour and the New York Times. Both report using verified facts, not rumors or rehashing what others are reporting on. Both are in depth and present a variety of viewpoints. The Times has conservative and liberal columnists. Newshour does pieces that can run 5-10 minutes, not just sexy, click-baity soundbites.

I'm sampling the waters and attempting to build a list of go-to sources, but I'd like to also keep abreast of the opinions of those who don't agree with me, primarily being conservatives and the religious. The National Review has a reputation for being a leader of conservative opinion, yet some have voiced concerns over the reliability of their facts. If you are a conservative, or religious person, or someone looking to get all sides of the story, what sources do you depend on for news and opinions from a conservative or religious perspective?

The only news source I distrust is Fox News.

Alpha Male noted that Twitter was a good way to keep on top of current events. Does anybody else use Twitter in this way, and if so, who and what do you follow.

(I'm investigating using it in that manner. My primary interests are politics and national news.)

I'm only one day in, but I'm already finding Twitter helpful, finding stories I would have missed by just glancing at the headlines on news sites.

I'm even following Donald Trump now, may God forgive my soul.

This way leads to madness! Take my word for it. It's worse than heroin.

‘Breaking news! Trump misspelled ‘counsel’ in a tweet for the FOURTH time in his presidency!’

Come on, guys.  If there isn’t a lot going on with 45 today, you can report on something else.  People will understand.

Yeah, some of us need to rest up between reports of the really hideous stuff that clown does if we are to avoid shell shock. That's PTSD for the younguns.
