Are you kidding?  Trump would do more than miss one piece of punctuation.

Yeah, that looks about right.

I almost never pay cash for anything, ever.  If a chocolate bar costs $1.99, I'll use a card just to avoid having to carry around a penny.

You do realize that plenty of cards offer rewards such as airline mileage, therefore it's not a bad idea to charge your groceries to your card as long as you pay it quickly as to not incur interest.

Fair enough, but the claimed need to show ID to buy groceries is not completely made up.

When someone asks me for money, at a gas station or such, I say, "Hey, I'm married." They nod and walk away. They know I don't have any cash.

Right. I pay for everything with credit cards, I pay my balance every month, and I've not paid a dime in interest on it. For me, it's a tool for cash management, not borrowing. If a bank wants to float me a short-term negative interest loan to make it easier to manage my cash flow, who am I to argue?

Depending on the state and the credit card one uses to attempt to purchase grocery , retailer may demand ID before honoring the card.

Thanks everyone for educating me.  I withdraw my earlier comment about people who buy groceries on credit.

No, in some states you need to show ID to pay with credit card.

Actually, the right thing would be for the cashier to ask every time for ID when a credit card is presented. They never ask though. They have even more reason not to now with the self pay machines right at the register.

Still, I'm inclined to think that this move by tRump is directly aimed at those on food stamps. I'd like to be wrong though.
