Are you celebrating Christmas?

RE: Are you celebrating Christmas?
For no particular reason:

If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925

Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. ~Ronald Reagan

I fucking love Dr who Tongue

I only just became a fan, the latest season was the first I watched every episode of and now I'm checking my torrent feed for the Christmas special like a crack fiend waiting for his dealer to get back from the drop.

Nothing really, I still think Tenant is kick ass but he's a bit more of a clown that the other two which isn't exactly my thing, and I've been an Eccleston fan for a while and just think Matt Smith is a better actor and I prefer the eclectic doctor he portrays (plus I want to fuck the chick who plays Amy Pond).

Btw, I think after the Doctors last life he'll come back as the master Tongue He'll realise he set himself up the whole time to meet an end.

Modern doctors: Matt Smith > Tennant > that other bloke.

As far as old docto who goes I dont really have an opinion as I have never really seen an episode that I liked.

Matt smith nailed exactly how I feel the doctor should be played and the one series he's done got me more into doctor who than either of the other two (also im with the void on the whole issue of Amy pond...shiiiiiiiit). Tennant is also great but the other guy was shite.

RE: Are you celebrating Christmas?
For me it is Tennant > Smith > Eccleston.

I didn't like Eccleston that much since he was only in it for one series, and I think the character really started to develop properly once he became Tennant. Smith is ok, but I think Tennant is a better actor and had a better portrayal of the Doctor. He was able to be wacky yet deadly serious, and had the capacity for proper relationships with his companions, whereas Smith's character is just wacky 24/7.
