Is Prince Harry the best advocate for the UK to become a republic?

Is Prince Harry the best advocate for the UK to become a republic?
The latest " gaffe " by clown prince Harry, caught on his own film referring to a fellow officer cadet as a paki, gives rise to my question.
This latest example of the racist and xenophobic attitudes that have always existed in the Windsor households is proof of the need to rid my country of the whole rotten shower....and all the hangers-on!
This latest episode is worthy of his grandad, prince Philip, a notoriously outspokenly racist bigot. Bet he's proud of young Harry!
The Royal propoganda machine will now go into overdrive to rescue the situation, much as it did when the third in line to the throne was photographed wearing nazi uniform to a fancy dress party a couple of years ago. And what a great job it did in the great pr stunt that was Young Hary's deployment ( or not ) in Iraq.
I also predict he has a big drink problem and will end up alcoholic or die young.

To the barricades citizens! Bring on the Republic!

Why would you want to make the UK a republic?

Because I prefer an elected head of state to an hereditary one....and I hate royalty as an institution.

I thought the UK elects its government? Just like the Netherlands we have a royal family that is the figurehead for our government but we elect real lawmakers.

we do elect a government, but the king or queen remains the unelected, hereditary head of state. The newly elected party leader following a general election "asks permission " of the royal, after a bit of bowing and scraping, to form a government.
The royal family is also the apex of the triangle of the class structure of the uk. It represents the most privileged class in the land.
It does nothing for the working/underclasses.

Frankly I think the behaviour of the entire Royal Family is appalling these days though I don't personally blame them as much as the media which, along with all this crud about stars lives, loves & f***-ups (I mean like who-the-f*** cares?) seems to have created this supposed public hunger for such e-b#llocks.

I'm not a monarchist so I wouldn't miss them.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I can't possibly imagine having to deal with a royal family.
