I like Bill Maher, but just to mention one example when they say "religion is dangerous... and by that its Christianity" I guess saying religion is dangerous sounds more neutral and nicer, more less controversial to say.

Most people who're anti-religious are against all religions, in theory. It's circumstance that makes them anti a particular religion more than others. In the West that happens to be Christianity. I'm sure if you talked to atheists living in the middle east the story would be very different.

As abhorrent as christianity is, islam is worse. Neither has anything to do with marxism, nor does atheism.
