Campaign ad: senior citizens mock millennials

Campaign ad: senior citizens mock millennials
Quote:The midterms are fast approaching, and in an attempt to get younger people to get out there and vote, a progressive group called Acronym has created an ad with older Americans taunting younger Americans about their (the young people’s) inability to get anything done.

The ad is infuriating enough that it just might actually work. Called “They’re doing fine, are you?“, it shows elderly white folks talking about how great everything is right now, and how wonderful Trump is for the country. The senior citizens also mock young people for not voting, saying of Election Day (November 6), “We’ll be there, but you won’t.”

Sounds like they made up straw man arguments to attack. Hopefully young people aren’t that dumb, to fall for the false narrative.

The false narrative that young people tend to vote less regularly? Or that they really should go out and vote?
I don't get it. Both of those things are true. Although something of a parody, the essential points it's making are serious, true, and important.

I feel like some people don't understand the intentional irony.

Yeah, for a minute, I thought I was the one misunderstanding the ad.

I think it's quite a clever ad honestly. Of course, someone like troll RR would hope the young people won't "fall for the trap" because that would just be bad news for Republicans, LOL.

What ever they need to do to change voter complacency I'm good with.

that’s an intense ad

The people who made it must really believe that voting can change things. Cute. And who knew hating old white people could be so endearing?

Yes they are smart which is why they are not going to vote Republican and  will listen to the facts of the add.
