Beating women in Islam

RE: Beating women in Islam
Yeah, he is, but he’s trying to soft-sell it to us (and himself). He wants to believe it’s referring to some sort of justified and unavoidable gentle violence which isn’t really going to happen much.

I wonder if a real wife beater would have any problem interpreting it to fit their own ends? I think not. Sloppy work Allah, you peaceful bastard. Bitch slap.

An eye for an eye is primative backward bullshit, but it occurred to me that the Qur'an contradicts itself heavily here. The woman is being beaten for disobedience, not for beating someone. Where the fuck does that come from?

There is never a good reason to beat your wife. The even worse advice from the Quran is to withhold sex. Yeah, couples not having sex really improves marriages, wait no it doesn't, it actually makes them way worse.

RE: Beating women in Islam
They murdered the Prophet,
So they can misinterpret Quran!
It was meant to free Man,
but the Family of the reminder,
took the brunt end of it,
They and their followers,
As the enemies sought to destroy the Sunnah,
And here we are, dealing with their interpretations,
That are supplemented by dark spells.
Despite this verse teaching the opposite,
And saying don't even discuss the matter
And leave them alone regarding this,
And continue to have intercourse,
And the next verse clarifying what to do,
In a case of a rational fear of breach of agreement,
Keep interpreting it according to the killers of the Prophets of old

Let me tell you are the deceivers,
The manipulate us acting like they're our leaders,
The hide the truth foretold,
by the true leaders and kings of old.

But imagine if his wife came into the room with his Quran, and it fell open at a certain page, and there was a passage they had never seen before. Somehow, everyone had overlooked it up to this point. Or maybe allah himself just magically inserted it into the book. A hasty internet search shows that this new verse has somehow become assimilated everywhere.

It reads: "Beat your wife into unconsciousness every single day. I mean it. Do it. No excuses. This overrides any other part of the book that may indicate otherwise."

"You’re not going to really do this, are you my love? Robvalue thinks you will have the courage to make a stand against this!"

That scenario doesn't even fall in the "what if"; it falls in the "not possible".

I know the book, and if there was other verses that say "beat the shit out of your wife" then I would've known; I studied it all, searching it in Arabic is quite easy too if you used such website:

What you're saying does not exist. I read this book since I was 6 or 7, it's more than 20 years. Believe me if such a verse existed; I will know.

As a token of honesty, here are all the laws that seem "controversial" or "brutal" in the book:
1-Wife beating if she rebels (I provided evidence from the same book that an eye is for an eye; in other words your wife must beat you first)
2-Execution (if somebody took a life; his/her life must be taken as well)
3-Cutting the hand of the thieve
4-If somebody had sex outside the law of marriage, and 4 witnesses saw him, he/she is flogged 100 times
5-If somebody accused somebody else of having sex outside the law of marriage, and didn't bring 4 witnesses, he/she is flogged 80 times
6-People who corrupt on earth (like terrorist) are executed, either by direct killing, or crucifixion after cutting their hand and leg, or banish them from the realm.

That's all. If beating women was okay and Islam was a sexist religion; a verse will prove it.
Crazy men who beat women and think that abusing women is fine, belong to number 6 in the list above: banishing them from the realm sounds very convenient.

I disagree with you, rob.
God punishes those who beat people without reason.

An eye for an eye.

If my wife didn't punch me, why would I punch her?
And of course, I can choose not to.

That's why I think women must attend self-defense classes and carry tasers at all times.
A wife beater has a sentence awaiting him in the Quran; and an eye for an eye.

He beats his wife? he should get the same treatment.

Lets see if i am (slowly) getting a grip on your mindset: Women also should rather stay in the house than going out alone (with their tasers) and presenting them to the dangers of meeting men (who arent their husband). If they get out at all they must be accompanied by their husband, to protect them, right?

Quote:Oh..you were trying to be funny
No, actually i think what you are saying now, and have said a few pages back when i criticized allmighty Allahs view on women (and you defended by saying "well, thats how it is where i live" or, as i predicted "women are different thats why its ok to discriminate against them), sounds really funny to a civilized person of the modern ages, but in a disturbing way, because, as absurdly funny your views and quotes are (and the views you defend) at first glance, they also are hurting a lot of people and are ruining their lives.

It is actually a tragedy. Sad

Actually the Qur'an says if you fear rebellion. It doesn't say the wife has to actually do something other than cause a fear of rebellion.

If this verse was fair and equal it would just say "If your partner rebels against you then rebel against them in the same way they did to you."

But it doesn't say that at all.

Firstly it gives men the position of being able to judge their wives based in the emotions the husband feels towards his wife, namely fear.
And then the verse allows the husband power to act on these emotions through verbal reprimanding, then forsaking them in the bedroom then violence if the husband still feels fear about the wives rebellion.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

What would make me fear rebellion but rebellion itself?

If my wife is not rebelling, then I have no reason to fear her rebellion; or else I will be insane and paranoid.
If I fear her rebellion without her doing anything, then I would need an urgent psychological treatment for paranoia, and moreover I will be abusing the rights Islam gave me.

"Fear" their rebellion means "know" their rebellion according to many interpretation.

Lots of people fear for no reason Atlas and this verse contrary to what you are saying, is saying to ignore your fears, and not to disrespect them by mentioning your fears to them at any time, including the bedroom (leave them alone regarding this) and to continue to have intercourse (athrabuhuna).
