How we spend our time

The thing is, in a theists mind, it could have been very profound. It could have been a sign from god.

A theist can twist that story to have matched anything going on in their life.

Relationships
"I had my head down searching for what I thought I wanted. If I had held my head up high, I could have seen the person that was right in front of me."

Work
"Something was trying to tell me that I need to stop wasting my time in this pitiful job chasing some silver. This whole time I could have been improving my education."

Internet
"Angels put this story in my path so that I can stop wasting my time on the internets. There is a silver lining in every story. Sometimes you just gotta take the time to look and even if you don't find it, you can still enjoy your day searching."
Insanity - Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result

RE: How we spend our time
I just had a strange experience which could be similar to the ring thing (if it was a mental rather than physical explanation I mean)... a hallucination/mirage effect; I recently bought a PlayStation and have had Fortnite on the brain for the last week or two. So just a few minutes ago I was settling down to go to bed (after watching videos about Fortnite on YouTube) and in the dark I saw the green light from my PS controller charging dock on the floor and what looked like three or four other red glowing controller outlines in close proximity. And for a solid two or three minutes I was like dafuq is this? Is this some feature of the PlayStation to spawn holographic controllers?... ie they looked just like how looted weapons/items appear in Fortnite... as glowing outlines of the object in question. Like I said it wasn't till a solid two or three minutes later that it twigged for me the red lights were probably the red lights of my extension plug sockets on the floor; that combined with messed up sleep and general haziness lately came together into that surreal little hallucination/mirage. So basically in other words the brain is very good at mindfuckery... to fill in the gaps of what it perceives based on recent events, bias, or wants/needs... especially if you're not fully awake or alert at the time.
