When I was growing-up as a toddler in fundie land, we were taught that when it rains, it's because god is crying!  It seems that we were already, at that young age, being prepped for the mythological brainwashing that we were going to get when we got a little older.

My mom used to say that thunder was god rearranging the furniture. I told my wife one time when it was raining that, "God is pissing on us." She was not amused. Hehe
