But seriously, we've known Boru for ages and he's not a racist.

It's a bit of a "yes and no" sort of thing.

Like, am I surprised by anything any more? Not really.  Racism in particular though.......who the fuck thinks that was ever a good idea. Maybe it's because it just doesn't compute in my brain or that I live in a particularly sheltered part of England, but Racism has never really "been a thing" where I live. I've only ever seen it once in 30 years, and that person barely made it out alive due to his comments. This sort of thing, like in northern Ireland, is just a whole lot of "what?   " .

That's no to say it doesn't happen and/or is worse in other places of the world, but it's one of many "you'd think people would know better" type deals. I mean I know they don't, but you get the idea.

We don't know who they are, so it could be a group of Nationalists.  See, you assume that they're unionists, so you're clearly being intolerant.

Yeah, that's a hazard of getting into punch-ups - it isn't considered good form to postpone the fight long enough to compare relative bone density.  Too many fuckers had heads harder than my hands.
