Just pop some optics on the rails.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

A muzzle loader with a scope? How about a .50 with a scope?

Ya gotta have a muzzleloader for the season. No reason not to mount a scope. I don't know anybody who doesn't have one mounted.

I was in it for the history. I have a deal with the animals. They stay out of my yard and I stay out of their woods.

I gave up on coalburners a long time ago.
If I wanted something second rate, that is unreliable, messy, and generally just a pain in the ass -
I' d have stayed married.

Uh-oh. Someone's out to take over the world.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Besides, muzzleloaders take skill. You can't just cover the landscape in lead.
Did you know that "vegetarian" is an old Indian word for "shitty hunter."

Going gay could have advantages.
If I married a guy who wore the same size clothes, I would get the second story of the north end of the house back. (My SO has so many clothes, I had to install clothes racks which effectively make the whole upper floor into one gigantic walk in closet).
And he could do half the car maintenance.

For the most part I have hunted with single shot rifles, revolvers, and a 12 GA bolt gun that has a 2 round capacity magazine.
And I can't remember the last time I didn't retrieve a deer I shot at.
Pretty much " one shot, one kill" around here.
