First significant snow 2018

First significant snow 2018
It figures.

The power went out for a couple minutes last night - then went down hard when the SO got up to go to work.

I got to sleep in.

Now the power is back - and I have to get out to the barn and use the overhead crane to bring the snowblower down from the hay loft - and blow out the drive.

Then I have two deer to butcher.

Sigh.......

My wife took over 2.5 hours to get to work today (usually, it is 1 hour). My classes were canceled, so I'm off work.

We didn't get as much as predicted but it have a freezing rain ice sheet. Deep freeze for a couple more days then it will all melt away.

The fucking snow geese had better wear their winter coats and scarves.

And of course - the snow was the perfect consistency to plug up the blower's first stage about every 50 foot - making the job take at least 3 times of normal....

Grrrrr

Give some of it here, onlinebiker, and we'll all get to see what happens when it snows in a place where it hasn't since the Ice Age. Smile

You get zero sympathy for the two deer to butcher.  The King has had ZERO time to hunt this year.  Last year's frozen cuts are dwindling quickly.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?
