I hope you are not missing my point. I am not blaming anyone for doing what they need to do as individuals. I am blaming oil companies and governments for not funding clean energy long ago. Nobody is suggesting we stop making transportation, just move away from fossil burning transportation.

I'm not sure it's sensible to expect oil companies to fund their own competition.  If I have a factory that makes Widgets, I'm not likely to invest in a factory that makes WidgetDestroyers.

I don't have kids but if I did, I'm sure you'd be ok with tear-gassing them.

If phone makers stuck to old technology we'd still be using rotary phones. Nobody is suggesting we end competition, but to get big corporations to move away from old technology. Car companies threw a fit when Nadar exposed how bad their technology was. Cars didn't stop getting made. It isn't a matter of ending any business, but getting business to adapt to better data and better technology.

See...that's -exactly- what I would do.  Think of all the repeat widget business!
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

True enough, car manufacturing didn't stop, but how many car-makers financed horse-and-buggy factories?

Huh? Not sure what you are saying. Ford doesn't make model T's anymore, just like I am typing on a laptop and not an iron key typewriter.

We could have been off of fossil fuels a long time ago if the world had cared enough to listen to scientists instead of being greedy. We still have the opportunity to do something, but we are at the point now that we have no choice as a planet.

Actually, that's what happens when you've saddled yourselves with a president who behaves like every two bit dictator he cozies up with around the planet.

The people attempting to enter the US were behaving legally. Everyone who had a hand in stopping them was breaking the law.  Educate yourself.

On the brightside, the constant dehumanization is how you can tell that the nutbars aren't a completely lost cause.

If the invading hordes of seven foot tall virile rapebots with child meatshields were considered to be human..the whole thing would be horrible..thus, invading rapebots.
