The dick jokes are obviously built in, there. I'm thinking more of a "serious thread" about kids giving out candy on lent.
It's the only time of the year that they don't have to worry about priestly meat.

OP idea is a terrible idea, but whatevs, it'll play out for what it is and af will persist through it.
Not remotely terrible, but there was always going to be folks who loved it and folks who hated it. I’ve learned that we really can’t do anything right. We’re just left to do what we think is best.
Not doing everything right doesn't mean that you're doing everything wrong. It isn't zero-sum. You guys are on the right track. Please try not to feel defeated because a few people disagree with a few of your changes.

I appreciate that! I’m not feeling defeated. I’m feeling more positive about it because I’ve stopped thinking of it in terms of people pleasing and more in terms of functionality. Besides, I don’t care what Gae thinks. He’s a cotton-headed ninny muggins.

I dig this rule. Good on the mods for going through with it.

I think I rarely remain on topic with any thread and that's how I am in real life, so I'll just stay away from the serious threads.
I have attempted, once or twice to read the rules for this place but I find rules so boring.
I've never been banned so I think the rules must be common sensical and only apply to bad people, and I'm good people.
I promise to not take it personally if I ever do get banned for something, as long as no one takes it personal that I don't do rules. :-)

Yeah, I take that back I'm not sure how the mechanics of that would work, like would you be able to switch a thread title to NSFW after it has been created... i don't think it'll work. And you're right, there's an entire sub forum for NSFW, so I guess hide tags work better.

Serious discussion without humor or minor offtopic posts seems quite a dry thread. Sure it makes sense in places like the debate section and such, but content policing of individual posts wherever and whenever sounds like a huge pain for both parties involved

Humor isn’t forbidden. Also, if they’re dry, not a lot of people will participate, which means very little policing.
