The news of Gen Mattis' departure comes a day after Mr Trump announced all US troops would be withdrawn from Syria.
In his resignation letter, Gen Mattis described his views on "treating allies with respect" and using "all the tools of American power to provide for the common defence".

"Because you have the right to have a Secretary of Defence whose views are better aligned with yours on these and other subjects, I believe it is right for me to step down," Gen Mattis wrote.

Translation:  'I can no longer, in good conscience, work for a dangerous lunatic.'

Both wings -The Oligarchs and The Military Industrial Complex- are the same faces of the same coin.

Across history, they both did unspeakable things to serve their interest only, the only reason we are seeing their actions clearly now is that they are fighting each other: so they are exposing each other.

We all know that nobody cares about Kashoggi, or some 2000 dead brown Arabs in Syria, or some burned Kurds in a hospital. But these are sitting ducks if you want to expose somebody in the mainstream media. The crimes of the U.S led collation against ISIS is well known since it began -several news agencies reported-, also Yemen and the hell led by Saudi Arabia in there, but what made it come to the surface as "important news" other than the below-the belt-punches of the Military Industrial Complex to the Oligarchs?

If the elections of America was rigged to make Trump win, then it is very possible that previous elections were rigged too. But something happened this time and led one side to be angry, perhaps it is the Oligarchs' choice to make Trump -the traitor- run for presidency?

It's almost as if Trump withdrew from Syria to give Mattis a final push out the door.  I'm unsure if Trump is able to think that far ahead, but he seems to have a history of getting rid of people who try to restrain him from doing whatever the fuck he wants - Sessions, Tillerson, Kelly and now Mattis.

The only positive I can see coming out of this is that it seems to be distressing even some politicos who have expressed support for Trump's looney agenda.  Other than that, it's pretty much all bad.
