Could exposure to comedy affect your sense of humor?

I like watching comedies, and I observed that I'm sort of finding them less funny. It depends on the show or movie.
I've noticed that it's become harder to laugh hysterically at comedies. There are times when I see really ridiculous stuff and only chuckling and wondering why I'm not laughing my ass of.

Taste, is the same with all art. 

There are comedies I laugh at, and others I don't. It really amounts to your life experiences, and tastes. 

Delivery also matters. Knowing your audience as well.

I saw a few episodes of Seinfeild.  But as a non-New York Jew I feel constantly irritated by New York Jews. So the show was not something that I could watch on a regular basis without feeling a general sense of irritation. I had to take it in small doses, just as I do with all New Yorkers-- but especially the Jews. 

It's alright if you don't like it, art is subjective. I must admit though, I never expected to meet someone who dislikes Seinfeld. Again, nothing against it, just surprising for me personally. I can't say that I had the opinion that nobody could hate it, but I'm still surprised that it happened. The mind is an enigmatic thing.

Seinfeld I never got into, say outside one or two episodes. He is really a New York motif.

But, the motif he popularized about "the show about nothing" wasn't really new. Long before Seinfeld "Three's Company" depicted the same misdirection and self absorbed motifs. "Three's Company" certainly had more moral plot lines, but was one of the first to make selfishness a main part of the plot.

I didn't saw it like criticism. It's the way that my mind works that I find interesting. I didn't have the opinion that Seinfeld is liked by everyone, yet I was still surprised to meet someone who doesn't. It's like that: I don't have the opinion that scenario A is impossible, yet I'm still surprised that it happened.
