Probably the best thing that lunatic mum with unvaccinated toddler could would be to have the little girl adopted by parents who aren't ignorant idiots and who would vaccinate the child.

That's the one that link was about that I said made me pee my pants. At this point, I'm wondering if not vaccinating should be considered child neglect-- I don't know if I'd take a child away over it, but maybe a large fine or even criminal charges.

Just saw a post on FB that was followed by a long list of comments regarding how having measles is sssssooooo much better than Autism caused by the vaccines pushed by Big Pharma. It's too early in the morning to deal with that much stupid.

Yep. Even if it were true, the net good in vaccines would make it worth doing. Save X kids, Y kids become autistic, do the numbers. . . And then take into account that it was never true, not even when the "research" first came out, and what do you have? Sheeple who hear each other bleating loudly, and think that bleating is evidence for anything but ignorance.

Now it might very well be that there's a large number of liberal antivaxxers out west, but ground zero of the current outbreak isn't exactly a hotbed of liberalism. Quite the opposite. (Source: me, I live there).
