-as to the question.  No, not really.  I find it unsuprising that people use well developed metaphors specific to religions in the regions in question.  It's how we talk.

I have alot of soul, for example....as A Southern Person.  My cup runneth over, even.  This..despite the fact that I literally have no soul whatsoever, lol.

That's true, however, would you be okay with the government using that religious term? To me, when the government uses it, it's like they are making a statement that souls or spirits exist and I find that very bizarre and I don't think the government should be endorsing religious things. Am I wrong?

That particular distinction isn't actually limited to indiginous n americans.  It's been a global trend, suppressed only by the religious shittiness of these past few centuries.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Everyone knows sequels aren't as good as the original. LGBTQ Part 1 was definitely better.

I have no problem with First Nations (Humans are indigenous only to Africa) peoples using the term. My issue comes when the government uses it. There is supposed to be a separation of religion and government I'm pretty sure.

Governments -do- use those terms.  I don't get hung up on denotation..that;s what religious nutballs do.  I understand the connotation. Use of illustrative language is not an endorsement of a literal appraisal. Not for an individual, not for a collection of individuals, and not for an institution comprised of them.

Sorry I should have worded it differently. If I worded it like this would you change your answer?

What do you think of the government using the "2" in "LGBTQ2"?

Maybe it would help to think of it in terms of 'identity' instead of 'soul/spirit'.  Genderfluidity entails the notion that a particular individual may not always identify with a particular gender, or always with the same gender.

I think you'd have a hard time making the case that 'LGBTQ2' is a religious appellation.

I don’t think it really has anything to do with religion tbh

Obviously we could make some comment about how thoroughly religious metaphor has infected our thoughts by conventions of speech...but since the words aren't at fault, and we can keep the words without keeping the shittiness...well, pick your battles.
