He is just a thief who skimmed a percentage of outlandish sums of money that were loaned to him, and then declared bankruptcy on the rest.

The resume of the mayor of South Bend Indiana is very thin. Mostly, he just has an Ivy League education. That's a fact. He never would have made a single national headline, were it not for the fact that being gay made him marketable to the media. I don't want candidates like that. Hopefully, very few people do. I want a strong resume, good leadership, an understanding of the issues, and the ability to set a viable path forward. I don't want the selection to be skewed by ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

And of course you will vote for Ojeda if he gets the nomination. You will vote for anyone who gets the nomination. All of you libtards are like that. So we should completely disregard identity politics and intersectionality, since you people are just going to vote Democrat anyway. But if you people give us a lousy nominee for intersectional reasons, a lot of us on the real left are going to walk.

Again you used the word "thin" regarding Peter.

I am not accusing you of supporting Trump.

But between Trump and Peter, who has public service? Who has military service?

My point is, between the orange turd, and all those running on the democratic side, anyone of them would be a far better president.

And how can you call me a "Libtard" when you offered me a democrat in this thread?

Between him and Trump? I don't care.  I despise intersectional ideology just as much as I despise Trump. If the mayor of South Bend is going to get the nomination, he's really going to have to convince the real left that he's the best person for the job or we are going to walk. I'm not going to cast a vote for a president whose head is full of intersectional nonsense. That would be just as reprehensible to me as voting for Trump.

I despise ignorance.

I despise chases for utopias.

If you and I both hate Trump, then stop trying to sell purist bullshit.

Long term wins and progress are not based on puritanical strategy.

THE GOP has fucked over America for 40 years. They have been successful through organization, day to day planing, and strategy.

You accused me of "getting excited" over Peter. You still miss that I will not be a purist and have an all or nothing mentality and only vote for him.

If you say you voted for Obama, the one thing he said during his run, and through both terms, was, "Don't boo, VOTE".

I agree. Obama is not superman, neither is the guy you mentioned in this thread, neither is the guy I mentioned in this thread.

I have been listening to multiple democrats who have announced their run recently. I like all of them.

Unity is our only strategy right now. Our differences on the left do not outweigh the damage of letting 45 have 8 years.

Would you care to define intersectionality in your own words, Yon, so that we know exactly what nonsense your'e referring to?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Hey, you're the ignorant person who will vote for any Democrat. I won't. Given the choice to vote for one thing that I despise or another thing that I despise, I am going to vote for neither. I held my nose and backed Hillary in 2016. She felt entitled to that nomination, and a bunch of us knew that she had never won a competitive race. We were nervous about it. But she was up against an Orange Clown in about the least competitive race in the history of presidential politics. And she fucked up.  That race was totally her race to lose, and no one else's.

You don't like that? Fine. Don't pick another fuck up.

Yea, sorry  but your bullshit argument here is exactly why Trump got elected the first time.

BOTH Bernie and Hillary supporters said the same shit. The irony is that Bernie threw his support behind Hillary in the general.

Did you miss the part where I followed Bernie's lead and also threw in with Hillary? And she totally fucked it up and got beat by an orange clown in a contest that should have been an easy victory for her. It's totally on her, dude. She has never won a competitive race.

But yeah, if you pick a fuck up to be your champion, you don't have any right to whine if you lose.

Technically she beat him like he owed her money, but hey, what are facts? The candidate who took the pop by a larger margin of victory than any other person who never became president was "uncompetitive". That's how that happened. Ayup.

Not this shit again.

If you want me to admit I was miffed at her not tapping Bernie as VP, I FUCKING AGREE. But I do not think it was a conspiracy as much as it was a bad guess.

I actually was impressed with Tim Kaine as a Virginia politician prior to any of this. But it did bother me that Hillary chose him instead of Bernie.

My point is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

Division is not an option at this point,

I really don't give a fuck that you don't like my arguments here and now. I do give a fuck that an orange bigoted bully can sink our democracy and kill our planet.

No, she didn't technically beat him. Sure, I'm a bit bitter about a system that will award victory to a person who didn't win the popular vote. But I'm not stupid enough to keep crying about it, because she lost fair and square in accordance with constitutional law. She lost. She lost period. She didn't 'technically' win. If she had technically won, then she would be in the Oval Office right now.

The only elections that she has ever won were senate races that she pretty much couldn't lose. It is long past time for us to start telling the truth about this.

You need to get this through your head. Division is not an option according to you, so that you will get what you want. If you had it your way, then we would all have to vote your way every single time. Grow the fuck up. I consider division to be an option. Hillary felt entitled to the nomination. She got it. We backed her. She fucked up. Some of us aren't doing that again. No 'do overs'. No centrists. No intersectional ideology.
