Another case of what are facts and who cares, right? It's becoming more and more common that a pop vote winner doesn't become the pres - as I've pointed out more than a few times a republican has only won the pop vote once in the past 30 years or so, and yet.
The grand irony being that "economic anxiety" provided just enough grist, aided and abetted by hostile foreign powers and a traitorous campaign....for an institution designed to explicitly put a white supremacist thumb on the scales of democracy to subvert the very same.
But this, as you describe it, is fair and square, because she was uncompetitive.
That, or this last election demonstrated an increasingly exploited flaw in our republic that we should probably do something about, rather than a deficiency in the candidacy of a habitually safe centrist dem. You held your nose and voted for her..I didn't. She didn't need my vote, she was going to win the pop without it, and my vote would not have prevented her from losing the presidency, either. Something has gone awry, lol.

No, she didn't technically beat him. Sure, I'm a bit bitter about a system that will award victory to a person who didn't win the popular vote. But I'm not stupid enough to keep crying about it, because she lost fair and square in accordance with constitutional law. She lost. She lost period. She didn't 'technically' win. If she had technically won, then she would be in the Oval Office right now.
The only elections that she has ever won were senate races that she pretty much couldn't lose. It is long past time for us to start telling the truth about this.

I'm all for an amendment that will get rid of the electoral college. But it's only been proposed in congress several hundred times without success. Try again? Sure. All for it.

I suppose it's cool that you're all for such an amendment, but that doesn't have anything to do with how horrendously you've butchered any factual understanding of what went wrong in 2016.
