[Serious] fact finding mission for non-Christians

fact finding mission for non-Christians
This is a post for any non-Christian to list their top 3 things they would like to explain to Christians. It can be top three reasons God doesn't exist. It can be top three reasons the Bible is wrong. The top three reasons Religion is bad for society. etc. ad nauseum. To keep it brief though, this post really isn't about combatting those things. I'm just interested in compiling a list what non-Christians would like Christians to know. I'd like the posts to not be ranting ramblings, so if you have multiple lists, please try and post them on a separate post. I'd like to keep the top three list of whatever category you'd like to express in simple bullets, but feel free to elaborate as much as you need to on each of your three points.

"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

Why are you limiting this to Christianity? Nobody in antiquity worldwide had anything close to the modern scientific data humans have today? Your religion is not special to me, it is merely one in human history.

1. 13.8 billion year old universe.

2. Scientific ignorance of all humans in antiquity.

3. Claims of super natural are nothing more than our species projections of their own desires, fears, narcissism, ego, insecurities in comic book form.

I think most human beings are good, and quite capable of morality and empathy for others. But I do not see what makes our species do good as being magically handed down to our species, but has always been in our genes.

Because I am a Christian Brian, and I would like to hear from non-Christians because I hear from them every day.

At work.

Hello! Big Grin

Yay I have a non busy moment to post early in a thread! Smile

Sorry if these seem more "Counter questions" Sad

1) How might any diety interact across the totality of reality in "Real time" and not some how break things like 'Light speed barrier' and such?

2) How does one faith really 'See' or 'Believe' about another? What sort of glances does a Christian cast ascance towards a Hindu, Buddhist or Toaist?

3) Why are there not more efforts to corral or contain or other wise wid in the education of foljs whose grasp and understanding of our reality seems so horrendously poor?

Sincerely Peebothuhul.

No I appreciate it in any form Peebo. Counter questions are fine, questions are fine, axims and evidence are fine. I just want top three things you'd want a Christian to actually listen and hear you about. If can be related to church, science, society, God, Bible, whatever. If you had a room full of Christians tied to their chair and forced to think about something you said, what would be the top three. Thx.

-side note: it's open to agnostics, diests, muslims, anyone not claiming to be a christian

Forced to think about what I said?   Christians?

Unlike the alledged Christian god,  I do not command those who were created sick to be sound.

I am not a Christian. If you meant people of other religions, you should have said that.

I used to be a Christian though. But I can tell you, just like any former Muslim, former Hindu, former Buddhist, former Jew, it really simply boils down to coming to the conclusion that what you once bought into stopped making sense.

I've never actually met a Christian.

RE: fact finding mission for non-Christians
I'd like christians to apply logic, reason and science to their religion/the bible in much the same way that they apply it to their every day life.

If christians allow one type of supernatural to exist in reality then they should allow every type of supernatural to exist and consider it real.

Why does a god need apologetic's?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
