I tried watching and reading Peanuts

I tried watching and reading Peanuts
If you like the series more power to you, but it doesn't attract me. I don't think it's a bad comic. I watched a few episodes and read a few strips, but nothing made me laugh or feel any emotion for that matter. I've heard people saying that it' a case of "Seinfeld isn't funny", but I doubt that. I'm young and I do like Seinfeld. Maybe I would've liked it more if I watched the show when it came out, but who knows. That's not all. There are older comics than Peanuts I find a lot more interesting : Popeye, Donald Duck, Little Nemo, The Adventures of Tintin, and there are probably a lot more that I would like if I tried them. It's not just comics, I still find the Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes hilarious to this day, and I did grow up with them. It also applies to some live live action movies. I enjoy the works of Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy. Not to mention ancient greece literature.

I grew up reading Peanuts in the newspapers during the 1960s, and it was always my favorite strip.  I own all 26 volumes of The Complete Peanuts books -- which include all 17,897 daily and Sunday comics -- and I have read them all twice.

Different generations, different tastes.

Did you know Snoopy and the rest of Peanuts gang has been pushing space exploration since before we landed on the moon? These are from 1969.

I was always uncomfortable seeing Kenny get killed every week.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Really?  I always found it the highlight of every episode.

But Seinfeld isn't funny. (Curb Your Enthusiasm is though. Glad he got it right on his second run.)
