Five years older and dead - he still looks better than Keith Richards.....

RIP Robert Forster, actor
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Gahan Wilson, prolific cartoonist, died on November 21.

I was introduced to his macabre work in PLAYBOY when attending college during the late 1960's. He was, by far, my favorite PLAYBOY cartoonist. I have anthologies of all his PLAYBOY cartoons in my private library. His work appeared in that magazine for about 50 years.  Read

I was introduced to him via his illustrations for 'A Night In The Lonesome October'.  One of the best.

Ron Liebman.  Best know for 'Friends' and 'Norma Rae'.  Could also be screamingly funny.
