Nothing has changed.

Wellfare = control of the people by the government. Dims have always been for big government. Big government has always been about controlling the people.

It seems you're right, but you forgot to mention that it doesn't seem to suppress voter turnout, even when viewed by race.  It also does prevent some voter impersonation, but the numbers seem to be small.

Indeed the research seems to suggest it does not cause mass surpression

And Derpch  is talking out his ass . The parties did switch and no welfare has nothing to do with control . That's Republican bunk .

They don't care about voter fraud--in fact many of them commit voter fraud.  They tamper with ballots however they can.  They know they can't win on the issues, so they have to commit fraud.  This is just a misdirect so they can keep getting away with it.

I think your Magic Universe Pixies have used their magic dust to mislead you in this regard. I've always thought it was the dems who do this.

Mark Harris doesn't ring a bell?
How about former Colorado GOP Chairman Steve Curtis?
Or Kasnas GOP Candidate Adam Thomas?
Or Rosa Maria Ortega who illegally cast ballots in five elections for Republicans?
Terri Rote tried to vote for Donald Trump twice in Iowa.

I think it goes on on both sides. Gerrymandering is also big here in California, where Democrats control everything, and many other states too. You can always point to some individuals and apply it to a group. Using your logic, I could point to numerous Democrat political figures and say that Democrats sexually assault and harass women.

Do you think these individuals are all Republicans?
