The concept of atheism makes no claims or statements about any particular faith or set of religious beliefs. Atheism is simply a lack of belief in a god or divine creator. Atheists, however, can fall anywhere on the spectrum; some people are very accepting of any and all faiths and others denounce religion entirely and think that no one should be religious. I tend to fall more toward the latter, but at the end of the day have no real issue with someone practicing a particular faith in private.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.

More likely churchspeak than there being something wrong with your friends eyes.  It's a known known that religious communities leverage non literal and symbolic phrases and that, even among and between the faithful, a genuine and literal profession of having seen miracles is taken as a warning indicator for mental health.

The language is prescribed and can be categorized by schism and region, even, not unique to the user.  It's not a coincidence that Tack used the metaphor of walking or that there was no literal content in his statements about jesus guiding his steps.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's pretty much what people are doing when they engage in pious theater.  Wink

IDK, but I bet you he had his dick in his hand while writing some of his poetry... some of which was x rated gay porn masquerading as commentary on God/divinity (no joke).

They say that when people think they're being watched they're more honest.

Hey tack, have you done anything embarrassingly disgusting lately?

Atheism doesn't make that call.  Atheists, however, may or may not be individually accepting of other faiths.

Personally, I 'accept' other faiths in that I really don't care what other people believe - it's none of my business.  I find all faiths to be equally silly and I find faith itself to be a pretty problematic path to learning.  That being said, as long as you aren't using your faith as a justification to trample the rights of other people, you should feel free to believe whatever nonsense pops into your head.

Great!
well if thats the case then there shouldn't be conflicts with eastern born religion because they donot believe in conversions and imposition of their faith

Omg So many answers!
Great!
My point is.. if imposition of thought doesn't happen peace is bound to come and conflicts happen when there is no acceptance.
majority of people here are accepting in nature as per comments i read.
Live and let live should be everyone's policy.

RE: So I am Here with My first Question
Live and let live is a great policy until you encounter someone who is trying to kill you.

I don't accept it when people murder other people. I use the word murder instead of the word kill, because I can accept it when someone kills another person, provided that person is deserving of death.

I do not accept it when a religion encourages good people to commit atrocities.
There are things that religions do that I can't accept.

We have secular laws to help protect us from those who believe that they speak on behalf of a god.

It's very hard to be accepting of practice that preys upon children and poisons the minds of adults.
